There are lots of scholarships available to international students who are studying or wish to study at any recognized university in the UK. The ones listed in this post are just but a few (although more would be added with time). Therefore, you should endeavor to check with the body offering the scholarship you want to apply for.

UK Government Scholarships

Commonwealth Scholarships

The commonwealth Scholarships are meant for students from developing commonwealth countries who want to do their Masters  or PHD degree in the UK. It is funded by the UK Department for International Develpment(DFID).
Deadline: Closed for the 2014 round. However, information about the Commonwealth Scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries for 2015 round will be available by August 2014.

UK University Scholarships

Gates Cambridge Scholarships for International Students

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship is a full-time postgraduate degree awarded to outstanding students who wish to study  in any subject offered  at the University of Cambridge.
Application Opens: 1 September 2014.
Deadline:15th October 2014 (for US based in the USA) and 3rd December 2014 (for all other international students)

Cardiff University Scholarship for International Students

There are more than 8 category scholarships that are available to international students who wish to study at a post graduate or undergraduate level at Cardiff University.
They include:
Fulbright-Cardiff University Award: Available for students who want to  pursue a Master’s degree programme (or the first year of a longer Master’s or PhD programme) in any subject at Cardiff University.
Note:
Those resident in UK are not allowed to apply for this award.
Deadline: Application for the 2015/16 cycle is open.

Benefits:
Full tuition waiver from Cardiff University.
£12,000 which is intended as a contribution towards  maintenance costs and more.
